Creative Age Edmonton invites you to TAKE PART in a Free Arts Workshop for Older Adults (55+)!

Creative Age Edmonton produces FEST & More during Senior’s Week each June, and is now proud to offer a series of free workshops, partnering with professional artists, community agencies and arts organizations, to offer arts experiences to older adults throughout the year.

The first in this series of workshops is an Introduction to Sculpting with Clay, led by local sculptor and teaching artist William Johnson, and hosted by the YMCA Family Resource Centre, in the Boyle Renaissance Plaza (9538-103 A Avenue).

Introduction to Sculpting with Clay

Wednesdays from 6:30pm – 8:30pm

June 18 to July 16, 2014

YMCA Family Resource Centre (9538-103 A Avenue)

In this beginner-level clay sculpture workshop, you will be guided through the hands-on process of creating a sculpted clay tile. The tiles will be kiln fired, then painted by the participants. Upon completion, the tiles will be assembled into a beautiful group mosaic!

Enjoy yourself as you explore your creativity, learn a new skill, and meet new people!

This workshop is free for participants, but space is limited.

Please register before Friday June 13, by calling the YMCA Family Resource Centre (780) 426-9265.
